Gafford wins IP Casino Poker Classic
He won $51,122 and a seat at the World Poker Tour
A professional poker player named Dave Gafford won the first IP Casino Poker Classic in Biloxi. Gafford, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, made and aggressive move to win when Josh McCallie, who finished second, had a 6-to-1-chip advantage over him.

At about 6 p.m., Brad Isbill, the third-place finisher, was eliminated and forty minutes after that, Gafford took McCallie’s chips. For Isbill, it was his first big tournament. “I'm sick at my stomach. I played way too aggressive,” he said.

The two final players had very different styles. While Gafford wore sunshades during the whole tournament and showed hardly any emotion, McCallie rocked his chair and put his head down on his wrist when deciding his next move.

Gafford won $51,122.80 plus a $25,000 seat at the World Poker Tour in Las Vegas and $3,000 in expense money.
