The final event will start on January 4th 2007
The Irish Poker Championship finals will take place as of January 4th 2007 and will consist of a three-day event. The Citywest hotel in Dublin will host the championship, which is expected to have a first prize of €200,000 and a prize pool of €500,000.

“I am confident that this years Irish Poker Championship will surpass last years event in regards to the prize pool. This will be one of the biggest poker tournaments ever staged in Europe,” Fintan Gavin, one of the event’s promoter said. “City West Hotel as a venue is magnificent, there should be a great buzz with the show and the tournaments running side by side.”

The Irish Championship encompasses several events nationwide and satellites all over Europe, which gives Ireland players the opportunity to play against some of the most popular poker players and Europe’s main celebrities.

Besides the main event, there will be two buy-ins of €500 and €750.
